My journey began with a fascination for these birds and a commitment to making the watches accessible to all. From the sleek and powerful designs to the precision in the attention to detail, each watch in the collection reflects the spirit and grace of birds of prey.

THE TIMELINE

2017

First step into the watch world

At just 17, I began my career as a Junior Creative at Geckota, a successful British watch brand. My role focused on graphic design and 3D rendering, but it quickly became a crash course in all things horology.

2020

From creative to brand management

I progressed to Brand Manager at Geckota. During this time, I worked on notable projects such as the Geckota Ocean-Scout and the WatchGecko x Christopher Ward collaboration, experiences that deepened my understanding of what goes into a successful watch.

2021

Going freelance, working globally

I stepped into the freelance world, offering 3D rendering and design services to watch brands around the globe. This included working with Nomadic Watches on the Fior 555, among other projects. It was an exciting period of growth, letting me see how different brands operated and how to blend design creativity with brand identity.

2023

Developing my own vision

With years of industry experience behind me, I started focusing on creating a brand of my own. I knew I wanted it to have a unique identity and to be affordable, while still offering the kind of design details and build quality I had always admired. Inspired by my love of birds of prey, Maystone was born.

2024

The first Maystone watch

After months of design, prototyping, and refining, I launched the first Maystone watch: the Prosperity GMT. This watch was brought to life on Kickstarter, it raised £33,689 by 112 incredible backers.

2025

Continuing the journey

Maystone now ships worldwide, with a growing community of collectors and enthusiasts. New colorways and future models are in the works, each continuing the theme of bird-of-prey inspiration and accessible horology.

THE WHY

What’s cooler than a soaring falcon, powerful eagle or an all-knowing owl?

Nothing. Well, maybe watches?

As a lifelong enthusiast of these magnificent birds, I regularly visit centers dedicated to their conservation and it’s always fascinating to see them up close, or not so close, when they decide to fly away during a demonstration.

The intricate patterns of their plumage, adorned with striking colors, and the sheer power of their sharp wings are a perfect source for inspiration. The correlation between the precision of a GMT watch and the calculated movements of these birds is undeniable.

I have also grown to love capturing these incredible birds through photography, it just felt right to base my passionate watch project off another interest of mine. Alongside is some of my photography.
